Hi all!

It took us a while, but we are finally ready with new graphics!

Changes:
- the units' tokens were fully redone (thanks to James Hazelett!)
- zooming (keys 1,2,3,4) - for showing off our beautiful tokens
- smart camera - player's view will follow action - IMHO, makes game much more interesting to watch
- alternative unit's evolution - i.a. Bowman can evolve to Fire Archer or Ranger (not both!)
- balance changes (i.a.: cost of Lich and further enhancements to mage's spells)
- other small optimizations and fixes
- memory required increased from 1GB to 1.5GB (new graphics eat more space)

Please spread the news - marketing is obviously not our strongest point and other players might want to try our game as well!

Edit:
Unfortunately, windows full version v1.2.0 was broken (CRC error for paladin portrait).
I am very sorry for that, we never thought the msi packaging might ever generate error.
There is new full version v1.2.1 for Windows users in Downloads section.

New units:
- Mummy - tough, but slow Undead. I see it as Zombie on steroids with fire vulnerability. Good for blocking enemies and versus enemy necromancers (Control Undead immunity!)

- Slime - slow unit with regeneration capabilities. Very funny voices

- Wight - reaper unit with interesting phasing movement. It's a bonus unit in campaign only and it's not available in multi-player (we have still to balance it right).
My personal favorite!

- Inquisitor - variation of Monk/High Priest with powerful anti-Undead capabilities and magic resistance. Unit available only in campaign as it will surely de-balance multi-player.

- Fire Archer - variation of Bowman/Ranger with fire attack. It's little bit too random IMHO, but it adds value to game. Perfect versus mummies!

Hi,

Paladin don't have portrait...

Arghhhh... It seem there is some corruption in msi package.
The Linux version seems to be ok.
Give me few minutes - I will take a look.
Thanks!

Army book don't have new units...

Army book it's still for version 1.1.4
I will update it when I have few spare minutes

where i may to see slime, wight?

Slime you can see in 2nd level of Edward's campaign (Ogre Lair)
Wight is secret unit - Krill becomes wight after losing battle with first knight

when will be approximately sequel?

No idea - really.

Current status is like that:
New units and AI are 80% ready, but it will take a while before we write story and build levels around that.
We are also thinking of introducing items like healing potions - that might require re-balancing everything.

Paladin don't have portrait...

Yeah - portrait for paladin has bad CRC and game cannot unpack it.
Only windows full package has this problem - I will rebuild it and upload it again.
It shall take few hours at most - I will post update when it's ready.

I guess some jar verification will be required in build script.

Edit:
New version v1.2.1 available in downloads.

Edit 2:
Units book updated.

Hi Les,

IMO, Age of Fear looks much better than before.
Very good work - congrats!

I will mail my friends to try it now

P.S.
When do you plan to beta-test sequel?
